1994; Kasota stone, slate, cast stone, stamped concrete; 7’H x 64’W x 48’D; Trafton Science Center, Minnesota State University, Mankato.  Commissioned by the Minnesota Percent for Art in Places program.

The sculptural components of this work present a visual counterpart to the language of science.  Suggesting the laws of motion, five large spherical forms orbit above the plaza area, adjacent the entrance area.  Scientific formulas provided by the college faculty are inscribed into the gear/wheel’s slate surface, radiating outward onto the concrete plaza.
